2014 PC Games of the Year

So I didn’t play a ton of new games this year, so this list is based off what I’ve actually played myself. This list is mostly PC, I don’t include any board games… that may be another list… or not… There is one XBox 360/PS4/XBox One game listed that isn’t on PC yet…

The Winners

Let’s get right out and say that the lead favorite, though I’m not very far into the game isĀ Dragon Age: Inquisition. It’s a truly massive game, and amazing in nearly every respect. My only issue with the game so far is that it is often times hard to connect to the Dragon Age Servers. I connected before I played the game, so it imported all the choices from the Keep into the game, but would be nice to be able to sync the files still.

Initial Left 4 Dead Impressions

I got to play an offline, single player version of Left 4 Dead the other day, and I have to say I am impressed. It is without a doubt the most wanted game. However, I have decided it isn’t above my want for Neon Genesis Evangelion: Platinum Collection. This is no fault of the game, but I think the long term repeated viewability of Neon Genesis outweighs the long term replayability of the game. The main point of the game is the online feature, which gives the game a long shelf-life, but even so, years from now I would still be watching Neon Genesis, but probably have moved on to other games. Then again I have been playing Counter Strike off and on for years (most off, which is kind of the point).
