Here is a video of a guy being sucked into the jet engine of an A-6 Intruder and he lives!
His uniform got sucked in first and hit the FOD sensors, so the pilot killed the engine. Apparently nobody knew the FOD was the trainer until he climbed out of the engine with minor head injuries and a broken collar bone three minutes later. He was checking the work of the guy he was training and walked the wrong way while the engine was at full throttle. More details on this page near the bottom.
Okay, notice this is tagged in the humor category…

I would guess this comes from an Asian version one of those Funniest Home Videos type of shows.
For those wondering why the government seems to intent on violating our Constitutional rights, such as the Fourth Amendment, we have an explination from the head of the CIA.
If you forgot what it says (emphasis mine):
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Now, on to the explination from the head of the CIA who says the Fourth Amendment says nothing about probable cause.
So either it is willful disregard for the Constitution, or we have a bunch of idiots in Washington. I vote both.
Check this guy out, this is apparently his senior concert. It gets really cool a bit past the minute and a half mark.
You have to check out this cool video. It is a water fountain where LED strobe lights are synced in a way to make water drops look like they are going slower then they really are, stop and go backwards. Some of the details on how it works can be found at his homepage. That would be cool to have…
The orginal version of it on guitar:
(and his website complete with backing track and tabs so you can try it yourself… and covers of it… and making it into the Wiki’s entry on Pachelbel’s Cannon)
This is the one I first saw:
South Park, yes South Park, provides a fairly accurate history of the Mormon Church.
The link above tells how accurate it actually is. So while the video may be funny, it is historically accurate… They do leave out the connections to the Masons, but that perhaps is getting to be a bit too much.
Since we’re on the subject of using South Park to show what some religions believe, here they are showing what Scientologist actually believe (once you get to a high enough level to learn the full truth that is):
No kidding, they are not making that stuff up. More at Operation Clambake.
Check this out. An F-15 Eagle gets one of its wings torn off in a mid-air collision. It then does what is in theory, aerodynamically impossible, flies over 10 miles one one wing and then lands. The conclusion of the investigation was that the plane’s wide body, and the fact that he flew it far faster then normal, allowed it to stay airborne. I would have to guess however, that isn’t the suggested method of dealing with such a collision.
One of my favorite ads of all time:
No CGI, just 250,000 super bouncy balls going down the streets of San Francisco.
(High def version available.)
After watching the ad, check out the making of the commercial:
They are getting read to start a new campaign. It looks like they are going to blast paint at a bland gray building. I can’t wait.
Of course nothing will probably ever equal Apple’s 1984 ad:
Oddly, Apple’s board hated it, and it nearly didn’t air. Full story on the ad here. Of course that went on to become one of the most influential commercials of all time. I guess they were not as visionary as Steve Jobs who loved the ad… big shock there…
Here is a classic Monty Python skit:
How is that for a long title? Anyhow, as it says, this is one of the coolest Diet Coke/Mentos videos I have seen yet.
Then for one of the coolest of the Diet Coke/Mentos “rocket” videos we have:
There are a ton of Diet Coke/Mentos videos out there, these two seem the cream of the crop so far.
Hattip on the first video there to: Ceejayoz.com, I can’t remember where I first saw the rocket video.
