No, not "Scooter" Libby, but scooters as in a type of motorcycle. I remember twenty years or so ago, thinking that getting a scooter would be a cool alternative to driving a car all the time. You would save on gas, insurance and all that. I never got one obviously.
Now they are coming back in vogue as gas prices sore. There is a nice article over at MSNBC title "Is a Motor Scooter in Your Future?" It covers lots of the pros and cons of switching to a motor scooter. I personally wouldn't get rid of the car, but it may be a nice alternative to the daily commute when the weather permits. I personally wouldn't feel safe taking Ari on it, but short shopping trips, or going to pickup McDonald's or pizza might be worthwhile if I went myself.
My choice of scooters at the moment, a Piaggio MP3.
