Former Intel CEO Rips Pharmaceutical Industry

Andrew S. Grove ripped the pharmaceutical industry for it’s lack of progress in curing diseases in humans.
I more or less agree with him, but I think a few things need to be pointed out. The pharmaceutical industry makes twice the profit of oil companies make per dollar sold, only banks make more (and that is before we add the profits from the large private reserve banks like the Federal Reserve, so that would make banks unbeatable, even by pharmaceutical companies).
The pharmaceutical industry and the media, and hence the easily mislead public, complains that our government doesn’t pay for research done using aborted babies, yet the drug companies could easily pay for the research itself and still be more profitable then oil companies, whom people complain about the profits of.
I honestly don’t think they want to cure stuff. They make too much money having cancer, heart disease and the like around. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the biggest lobbies to keep medical marijuana illegal, because it is proven to be as effective if not more effective then the manufactured stuff for treatment of nausea in chemotherapy patients, for giving AIDS patients an apatite which they loose as a side effect of the mass of drugs they take, and several other uses where the natural, God created cure is nearly as good, as good or better then what they make. Where would the profit be for the drug companies if safe, very effective natural cures were available? Where would they be if cancer, heat disease, diabetes, AIDS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and the like had cures? Of course they have people like Hillary who want to force people to go to see the doctor and force them to be overly medicated.
Already in this country, if they think your teen is depressed, they can’t go to school unless they are medicated; despite the fact is proven that anti-depressants increase suicidal tendencies, sort of proof they aren’t concerned about the cure or the kid, just the money. A kid they accuse of having ADD/ADHD can’t go to school unless they are on Ritalin; despite the fact that many are misdiagnosed, and there are again safer and at least nearly effective natural God made solutions, but those solutions don’t make money for the drug industry. And you have to immunize your kid to go to school; despite the fact it is fairly clear that it can, and often does lead to autism spectrum disorders, odd how communities that refuse immunizations and self school don’t have any cases of autism.
The only people the drug companies care about at all are their share holders, and none of the share holders that matter care about any one, only their bank account. I could rant on but I’ll let this one lie here… for now…
