Programs

This is where I will track the programs I make.

Currently the only program I have out there is What Time Do I Leave Friday. This program will help you if you work Flex Time and need to find what time you leave on your last day of work for the week.

Programs waiting:
The Daily Word. This program I started a long time ago in Visual Basic 6. It will be eventually ported to C#. It provides a daily Bible chapter to read in order to make it through the Bible in a year using a few different Bible in a year formats. See my posts for more details.
Mine Rescue. This is just a working title, until I find a cool name for it. It is loosely based on H.E.R.O., but I won’t go into more details until the game is actually nearly ready. However, the game is intended to take advantage of today’s graphic abilities and hopefully will work on both the PC and XBox 360 as it will be made using XNA.
Lottery program. Name yet not decided. Will help pick numbers for lottery drawings based on past draws and random number prediction. IT will also help wheel numbers to improve odds of winning. Most of my posts about my lottery program.
Switcher. A game starring a person who has an obsessive compulsive disorder where when turning off lights, they need to make sure that all the switches are down. This is simple enough when the light is controlled by only one switch, but when 2 or more switches control a light things can get complicated, especially where our hero is at.
Locomotive. An educational game where the child controls a train from an overhead view. They will collect numbers and letters in order as they go along by picking which switch to go down. At the easier levels, they may just need to go through the alphabet, at higher levels, they may have to spell a word, which itself may go in stages, such as seeing the word and filling the letters in, then having to remember the word they need to spell and spelling it out. With the numbers, they may have to do simple math and the like. The child can pick which locomotive they want to use for each turn. There will be a roundhouse of trains to pick from, and one segment of the game will give more information about that locomotive, which would be like a child’s encyclopedia entry for that locomotive.
Class Picker/Scheduler. A simple program where one takes and enters all the classes they can take and helps organize a schedule. This was drawn out of the confusion of trying to read a college schedule book and having to flip from page to page to page and try to eliminate conflict between classes. Let us say that for Semester 1, the user will be taking 5 classes, each of theses classes is available 10, 20 or so times during the semester. The user enters all the classes into the program, then it helps eliminate conflict. The program idea was further revised so 2 or more people can use it so that they themselves don’t have too much overlap. For example a mother and father taking classes at the college can figure out when to take classes to cut down on the amount of time they need a baby sitter. See my posts about my class picker/scheduler for more details and hopefully better descriptions.
