A big cheer to Maine for rejecting the Real ID Act. Let’s hope far more states oppose this vast invasion of privacy and government waste. Maine guesses it would have cost them over $185 million over 5 years to implement the plan. The Bush administration says the Real ID act is needed to fight terrorism. [...]
As you can see, I am back online. I think the total downtime was less than 30 minutes, mostly to wait for my FTP client to delete all the old files from the server and than upload all the new ones. I am not sure why the deleting of the files took so long.
