DeWine or Brown and Ohio House District 52
Oct 30th, 2006 by Brian A. Thomas
I haven’t yet addressed the sad Senate race we have here in Ohio. We have Mike DeWine, a far left wing Democrat who is running as a Republican and Sherrod Brown, a tad further left wind Democrat who is running as a Democrat. Brown has a track record to show that he is actually worse then DeWine. While DeWine got an F on the NRA Report Card, and Brown got a D+, Brown remains the wrong choice for Ohio. He is further into the big government/socialist agenda then DeWine is, and DeWine (and Voinovich for that matter). Ohio is not represented well by either of our so called Republican Senators. However, at least on ideal grounds, the Republicans stand for smaller government (at least used to) than the Democrats and better to have them as the party in charge. So with reluctance, I say vote for DeWine.
For the Ohio House, I have to give my endorsement to a Democrat of all people. William J. Healy, II is my choice for my local district (52). The NRA Report card gave him a B, the other person doesn’t have a record to show, at least so far as their issues are concerned. Healy is also endorsed by Ohioans for Concealed Carry, so from the gun point, he is the best choice. How a Democrat gets a B and is still allowed in the party is beyond me.
(Just kidding. Hey if DeWine and Voinovich can be as big government as they are and still have the Ohio GOP keep them on their list, why not a pro(ish)-gun advocate on the Democrat side.)
