More on Ohio Issue 3

I won’t go over again why you must vote No on Ohio Issue 3, if you want, follow that link and you’ll see my arguments against it. I got a comment asking about signs, to which I replied I don’t know where to get them. Now that they mention it, it does seem there is a surprising dearth of Vote No signs out there. The Vote No on Issue 3 people, which seems to include lots of major (and I would guess liberal) news papers as well as conservatives, seems to be lacking in that area. Perhaps the reason we see so many yes signs and ads is because they have a real uphill battle. To be honest, I haven’t looked at the numbers. Polls seldom reflect reality since you can get a few different answers from the same person on the same issue depending on how the question is asked.
Some major paper outlooks:
Akron Beacon Journal - No on Issue 3
Cincinnati Post - A Bad Bet for Ohio
Columbus Dispatch - No on State Issue 3
There are more, but it’s 3 AM and I need to go to bed…
On the semi related cool side. A Google search for issue 3 Ohio no comes up with me as a second website after the main No group. How cool is that? When more properly formated to say Ohio Issue 3, I fall to about 17th… Add no to the end, I go back up to 3rd (no at the start, puts me in 4th). Still, cool to be above the major papers that are telling everyone to Vote No on Ohio Issue 3.

If people are interested in Vote No on 3 signs, they can request them at http://www.ohiolearnandearn.org. That website has the best, most comprehensive reasons for voting no on Issue 3.
The reason there are so few Vote No signs/commercials is because the Vote No camp doesn’t have millions of dollars of disposable income like the casino owners do. The group running the campaign runs on about a million dollars a year - Learn and Earn has already pumped $20 million into television ads (not including literature and bribes to elected officials, which are public record). According to polls, it is going to be close, but the measure will likely fail.
