As if Needed, Proof Gun Control Advocates Value the Life of the Criminal More

In an earlier post, I noted that the Democrats and their gun control friends value the life of the criminal more then the victim. I now present a shinny example. Here is an idiotic article called Ban All Guns Now!:
Perhaps the most common justification is that of “self-defense.” Rather than relying on our highly trained police force, these people believe in some sort of vigilante justice, not unlike cowboys and robbers in the old west. Books such as More Guns, Less Crime argue for this.
Suppose a person breaks into your house at night and attacks you with a knife. Now, according to the right-wing point of view, you would be justified in shooting him with the gun you keep hidden under your pillow.
However, it is impossible to truly understand the circumstances leading up to this person’s breaking into your house. Perhaps he is a minority. Maybe he was made fun of in school for being a homosexual. He is probably poor. Knowing these facts, how can you, an upper middle class exploiter, be justified in ending this man’s life? The answer is: you can’t.
In fact this man is homeless and was merely looking for some food to feed his starving family. By killing him in so-called self-defense you are no better than a common murderer.
I won’t even cover how you wouldn’t keep a loaded gun under the pillow, but what do gun control advocates know about safe gun handling. So long as only robbers, rapist and the like have guns and us law abiding ones don’t they don’t care, but digress.
So the guy is homeless and looking for food for his family? Then why did he attack me with a knife? I should let this guy kill me so I can’t provide for my family so he can then go back to my kitchen and take some food? How stupid is that?! Who’s to say he doesn’t go rape and kill my wife, or kill my child? If he is trying to kill one person to get food, then he surely will kill others. If you are homeless and trying to get food, you don’t try and kill a person in their sleep to get it. You would go to the kitchen to get the food after breaking in, where I would warn you I am armed. So long as you don’t attack, you are safe. If you explain you are homeless and need food for your family, I may let you go with some food, then again, I may need to turn you over to the police for breaking in since there are plenty of places to get food around town for homeless/poor people and no need to break in.
The article itself doesn’t cover the fact that if you ban guns and take them away from law abiding people, then only the people who want to rob, rape and kill people will have guns. They cover it somewhat in the comments section, but not well. They seem to believe that with enough enforcement, sooner or latter, maybe a decade or few, they won’t have them. How many millions of people were raped and killed in the meantime doesn’t matter they think, so long as the criminal wasn’t harmed who cares about the victims. Even if you somehow stop every country from making legal firearms, the criminals will find a way to make illegal firearms.
The article may have been satire, but it does show what the gun control advocates believe.
