Proper Use of a Gun in Self Defense
Oct 9th, 2006 by Brian A. Thomas
By way of example of using a gun in self defense we have this story out of Seattle. A man suddenly started attacking a man for no reason, the man who was attacked, pulled out his gun and shot his attacker once. He then sat, let people help the guy who was shot, and turned his gun over to police once they arrived. The attacker died at the hospital. The guy who defended himself will not be charged since he acted in self defense and the gun was properly registered. As more and more people get armed, you will see less attacks from people like the guy who died here, since crime would then become a hazardous profession. With so many people unarmed, the risk/reward favors the violent criminal. Even if caught, his time in jail is cut down so they can put away non-violent drug offenders, so even the punishment seldom matches the violent crime. With an armed populous and keeping non-violent drug offenders out of jail so our jails can be used to keep real criminals longer, crime would stop paying.
I really need to get my CCW. I just don’t have the $150 for the classes right now… Of course I don’t have the nearly $400 for the gun either…
