Texas Insanity

In the interest of journalistic whatever, insert “allegedly” where it applies, especially in the second story.
First up, a story of a teach that was fired, after taking kids to an art museum and one of the kids seeing a nude statue.
A few bits from the article before I comment (all highlights mine):
The teacher took her students on an approved field trip to a Dallas museum, and now some parents are upset….
The parents had signed permission slips allowing their children to take part in the field trip….
McGee said the principal had urged her to take the students to the museum….
Let’s see now, it was a school approved trip, at the urging of the principal, and the parents signed a permission slip. To be fair, she wasn’t fired, but her contract won’t be renewed, but it is because of this. What right do the parents have to complain when they signed a permission slip? Do they not know there is nude art at the museum? If they don’t then perhaps they are too dumb to be a parent. Then how can the school validate it’s actions when the principle told her to take the kids? Shouldn’t he be terminated as well if they are going to terminate her employment? What’s wrong with people? I normally don’t support suing people, but if I were her, I would have to sue. The parents signed slips saying it was okay, this means they knew the potential “dangers” involved with the trip. Perhaps they should feed the parents to the bull dog in the next story.
The next one is a disturbing bit about animal cruelty, so move on only when ready.
Out next sad tale is about some teens who took a box full of kittens, tossed them on the ground then kicked them at a pit bull who ripped them apart.
A lady who was checking her mail saw the kids gathered around and checked what was going on. When she saw them kicking the kittens to the dog, she tried to stop them. Then the mother of the pit bull’s owner stopped her, telling her to “mind her own business” No arrests have been made yet, however, it looks like there will be.
I say, charge the mother or the pit bull’s owner, not only with animal cruelty, but contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and since some of the children were traumatized, child abuse. The dog’s owner needs charged with as much of above as they can since they are a minor. The other kids involved with kicking the kittens at the dog need charged with animal cruelty at minimum. The only question is do we put the dog down or not? While the dog can be rehabilitated from what was obvious mis-treatment, I would guess that it would be best to put it down and take no chances. Putting the dog down just to teach the owner and their idiot mother a lesson would be cruel to the dog. Perhaps a feed the owner and the mother to the pit bull, that would be about fair for them. Again, what’s wrong with people?
