Superman, Pirates, Spiderman 3, and V for Vendetta

Okay, I didn’t make it to the movie theater for ages. I missed tons of movies that I wanted to see, but I’ll probably have to make it out for Superman Returns and Pirates of the Caribian… Reason enough to see Superman Returns would be to see the Spiderman 3 trailer on the big screen… the black suit… I doubt we’ll see Venom unleashed this round, but I would guess we’ll see him next time. I can’t wait! The first Pirates movie was great fun, and the new one looks nearly as much fun.
Meanwhile, Sara and I watched V for Vendetta. I liked the movie a lot… Sara on the other hand seems to feel it may be one of the most important movies of our time. I haven’t read the books yet, but if they are like Alan Moore says, then I can see why he is upset, but I can also see why the Wachowski Brothers updated it to reflect something people would understand better then the purer fascism that the book supposedly has. The movie has more of a Theocracy, and is more clearly based on an extreme form of the Bush administration than a fascist regime. Anyhow, it is still a very good movie and comes highly recommended. It comes to DVD August 1st, so get it.
