It would seem that the FCC decided recently that if Internet software doesn’t have a clear, easy way for the FBI to wire tap it, then it should be illegal. This seems to apply mostly to Internet telephone software. Get the full story here.

It would seem someone has fessed up to faking the Marseille Roussau book that went on about what all the numbers were. So at least we know for sure it was fake, but a fun fake.

Microsoft and Intel have decided to officially support the idiotic HD-DVD format over the far superior Blu-ray. Why? Microsoft I can somewhat understand. Their software is used in the front end, while their codec is supported by both, beyond the fact that Blu-ray is a Sony product which makes the Playstation 3 (which uses Blu-ray), [...]
