Anytime you get an email warning you about this or that, odds are it is an urban legend and has been passed around for some time. Best thing to do is check it against Snopes and see if it matches anything. For example here is one that goes around (#25 on their list):
Dr. James Dobson [...]

Arrested Development has entered it’s third season on Fox. Arrested Development - Season One is out now on DVD and Arrested Development - Season Two comes out on October 11th.
This is without a doubt the funniest show on TV, perhaps ever. Loved by the critics and the Emmy’s and it’s core fans, the show oddly [...]

It’s been too long since my last Ari update.
Ari knows the word “fry.” He also knows the word “why” but I don’t think he knows what it means yet. He does however clearly know what the word “fry” means. Oddly, he actually seldom has them.
He also knows a drive though when he sees one. The [...]

It would seem that the FCC decided recently that if Internet software doesn’t have a clear, easy way for the FBI to wire tap it, then it should be illegal. This seems to apply mostly to Internet telephone software. Get the full story here.
Is it just me or is this insane? Beyond the obvious unconstitutional [...]

It would seem someone has fessed up to faking the Marseille Roussau book that went on about what all the numbers were. So at least we know for sure it was fake, but a fun fake.

I was going to post a link to a story tonight, but somebody beat me to it in the comments. You can get the link there, or here…
There is an op-ed piece at Ars Technica which talks about the financial aspects of the next generation of DVD formats. They admit fully it is an op-ed [...]

Yes, we are still going on about Lost Season 2 premier at the TiVo Community forum (Lost : 9/21 “Man of Science, Man of Faith” *Spoilers*) nearly a full week after the episode aired.
We recently got pointed to this site, which has transcripts of what is being whispered in the jungle, or at least so [...]

Microsoft and Intel have decided to officially support the idiotic HD-DVD format over the far superior Blu-ray. Why? Microsoft I can somewhat understand. Their software is used in the front end, while their codec is supported by both, beyond the fact that Blu-ray is a Sony product which makes the Playstation 3 (which uses Blu-ray), [...]

I upgraded WordPress today (25 September). So if you were here between 12 noon and 1:15 p.m. today, and things looked funky, that is why. Everything should be working… on your end anyhow.

Second time reposting this… seems after upgrading to the new version, it won’t let me make the links use my associate ID and using another person’s associate ID.
There are two books coming out in November I need to get.
Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 in C#: From Novice to Professional (Beginning: from Novice to Professional). As even locally, [...]

Okay, this one doesn’t really invovle the eyes. I asked over at the TiVo Community Forum if anyone was tracking the eyes episodes open up on. Somebody pointed me to this thread, which points out:
1.01 “Pilot” opens with Jack’s right eye.
1.04 “Walkabout” opens with Locke’s right eye.
1.05 “White Rabbit” opens with young Jack’s right [...]

Earlier I noted that some of the theories I posted were from the TiVo Community Forum, which I linked below. I’ll now be sure to give a link to the specific thread… not sure why I didn’t link to the specific thread last time…
At the going rate, I should make Lost a category on its [...]

There is a computer programming board game called, C-jump, and yes, I want it.
Think of it as Chutes and Ladders, but using C code for the chutes and ladders. For example you might land on a spot that says “if(x<4)” at which point if your dice is less then 4 you take one path, [...]

I just had to delete some spam comment that actually was a news clipping about hurricane Rita. Of course the author link and the author’s web page were to some site that sells “OEM Software” at cheap prices. The fact that they do so illegally… hey… It is an interesting take on the way they [...]

Jack’s tattoo has been shown on Lost a few times, and they are Matthew Fox’s real tattoos. I found a page translating the tattoo’s Chinese text. It roughly means “Eagles high up, cleaving the space.” I’ll let you explore the page to find the individual meaning of each symbol, and the full text of the [...]

Final edit: Friday 23, September 2005, 2:32 a.m.
Yet more on the Season 2 opener of Lost:
Walt said “Don’t press the button! No, button’s bad.” I thought they may be conflicting statements, but Sara, who I am chatting with right now, points out the comma makes it more of “No! Don’t press the button! The button’s [...]

More thoughts, notes and observations about the Lost season 2 opener. Lots of the observations come from the Tivo Community Forum.
