Sara was over yesterday to get a few more things for her trip to Findley yesterday, and after we dropped Ari off with her parents, we watched the new movie Alexander.
Sara loved it. She’s really into that time period. She likes mythology as well, so she loved the movie Troy as well, despite the many changes to the story they made. She thought they could have perhaps dropped the historian from it, but that was about it. She may have a bigger review when she returns… though she has Internet access in Findley, so she may make an update from there.
As for myself, I found it a bit long and just okay.
Ari’s namesake was in the movie for a short while, and referred to a few times after that. This was good as I probably would have been disappointed had they not shown Aristotle since he was Alexander’s teacher, and being an important part of history in his own right.
